What is Spinal Decompression?
Spinal Decompression is the use of targeted traction to cause a negative pressure in the affected area of the spine. To make it simple the traction helps create a little more space around the affected disc or discs. Which in most cases helps relieve the pain from compressed, herniated, bulging and or degenerative discs. Spinal decompression is considered a non-invasive therapy.
Does Spinal Decompression hurt?
While treating on the decompression table there may be a stretching feeling in your lower back but there should not be any pain. Several of our patients over the years have used their 30 minutes or so to take a nap.
